Mecuris stands for:
User orientation - Fightest quality - Co-Creation
Mecuris is a medical technology startup founded in 2016 as a spin-off of the Ludwig Maximilian University Hospital Munich (LMU).
The idea behind Mecuris originated from two different research projects: at the Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart, Jannis Breuninger did research on additive prostheses and prosthetic feet. Dr. Simon Weidert, on the other hand, worked on 3D printing orthoses at the University Hospital of Munich. Both projects aimed to individualize and digitize the creation of orthopedic aids to save time, provide high quality to be reimbursable and, above all, as a real enrichment for each wearer's life.
With an interdisciplinary team of six founders, the starting team was broadly based and contributed expertise in every area. Mecuris now employs approximately 30 people from all over the world and continues to grow.
Our core product is our web-based service platform, the Mecuris Solution Platform (MSP). It enables CPOs to create and customize unique orthotic and prosthetic products together with their patients in just a few minutes. The results are products that are convincing in function and appearance. This "digital workshop" is constantly being filled with new "tools" to meet the requirements of CPOs and wearers even better.
Mecuris teams up with O&P professionals to co-create - with users and wearers - customised O&P products. Our digital mindset and 3D printing know-how synergise in the Mecuris Solution Platform, which simplifies the work of O&P professionals and enriches wearers’ lives.
Mecuris strives to be the key enabler for digitally manufactured O&P solutions worldwide. We empower O&P professionals to co-create customised O&P products and enrich wearer’s lives within 24 hours.
