Industry expert Peter Fröhlingsdorf is the new CEO of Mecuris
We are very pleased that we have won the renowned industry expert Peter Fröhlingsdorf as our new CEO. Since the beginning of January 2020, he has been running the business and preparing the way for us to enter the growth phase. His expertise and many years of industry know-how will set the decisive course here. A warm welcome, Peter!
Peter has been working in medical technology for 25 years and is well networked in the industry. His career began at rahm Zentrum für Gesundheit GmbH, one of the most innovative medical supply stores in Germany. Here he learned the orthopaedic technology trade and gained experience as a workshop and field staff member as well as Operations Manager. He then worked for five years as Clinical Manager Bionics at the well-known Icelandic manufacturer Össur, before his career path took him back to his roots at rahm in 2011. There he took over the position of Sales Director, where he was instrumental in driving the introduction of 3D printing processes into production. Most recently, Peter opened up new markets as Managing Director of Kinova Europe GmbH, one of the leading manufacturers in the field of assistive robot technology.
Together with our previous managing directors from the founding team, Manuel Opitz and Wolf-Peter Werner, we were thus able to further strengthen and expand the top management of Mecuris. Manuel now has his back free to concentrate fully on the optimisation of the operative business as COO - especially with regard to the MDR guidelines which will come into force in May.
Target for 2020: Strengthen Mecuris as an important partner for orthopaedic technicians
Peters' primary goal will be to strengthen Mecuris' role as an important and growing player in the OT industry both nationally and internationally. The core of this is and will remain the support of the CPO in his daily work and to enable him to take the step into the digital age without expensive or long-term binding software licences and without extensive training.
We want to help by offering an intuitive and easy-to-use digital workshop, the Mecuris Solution Platform: In close cooperation with you, the CPO, digital workflows and products have been developed with the aim of making access to 3D technologies and 3D printing as easy as possible for you.
